Hello there,

I’m Fabi Rodrigues—Certified Lactation Counsellor, Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, and

founder of Alongside Doula Care. I’m originally from Brazil and a mom of three. Like many of the families I support, I experienced pregnancy and postpartum far from home and without my usual village.

My journey into this work began with my own experience of motherhood. I remember how much I needed clear information, reassurance, and someone to help me understand what was normal. That desire led me to become a doula and continue expanding my training in lactation and postpartum care. I have now been working alongside families for over 10 years.

Breastfeeding has been a big part of my own story. I breastfed my three children for six years in a row, and I understand how beautiful, intense, and sometimes overwhelming that journey can be. I hear you, and I have been where you are. You don’t have to do it alone.

My approach is supportive, respectful, and grounded in your context. There is no “right” way—only is all about what makes sense for you and your family. I offer evidence-based information, education, and guidance so you can feel more confident and supported in your decisions.

When I’m not supporting families, you’ll usually find me living life with my kids, camping,

or paddleboarding (yes, even in Vancouver weather). I also love reading and cooking together as a family.

At Ready Babe, I offer breastfeeding support (in-clinic and virtual), postpartum preparation workshops, postpartum support services, and community breastfeeding support circles. I look forward to walking alongside you during this journey.
