Jéssica Garrido is a Brazilian IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) and CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor) living in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She has been supporting families with breastfeeding for over five years and has worked with more than 200 Brazilian families in her private practice.

She currently also works as a lactation consultant in private practice and also at a Fraser Health community clinic in Burnaby, which serves patients and breastfeeding mothers from various cultural backgrounds. Her work emphasizes individualized care, considering not only clinical aspects but also emotional and cultural dimensions of breastfeeding.

Jéssica is passionate about advocating for breastfeeding beyond the medical lens. She often speaks and writes about the influence of media, family, and societal norms on breastfeeding, and how it's essential to support families not just with information but with empathy, emotional support, and respect for each person’s journey.

She’s also a mom to Theo, her 6-year-old son who was breastfed until the age of 2.
